The strategic planning in the Cuban Health System

Abstract

A brief description of the strategic planning historical evolution in the world and especially inCubais offered in this work, that includes some definitions of foreign authors and the later conceptualization of the term.  In a same way, the stages that the strategic planning has gone through at national level are exposed, it is meditated on the one that the Cuban health managers carry out in the different levels of health care and, lastly, the methodological steps to make it are described, with  which the organizational system would achieve great advances.

Soy mèdico especialista de 2do. Grado en Medicina del Trabajo, Master en Atenciòn Primaria de Salud, diplomada en Educaciòn Medica Superir y en Direcciòn de Salud.Profesor Auxiliar y Consultante.Tengo 44 años de graduada como mèdico y 37 de experiencia docente en la especialidad de Higiene y Epidemiologìa. Laboro como Metodòloga de la Vicerrectorìa de posgrado de la Universidad de Ciencias Medicas.
