Heterotopic pregnancy in an adult pregnant woman
Abstract
Its presented the clinical case of a 33 years old patient with heterotopic gestation and a history of 3 obstetric pregnancies, including 2 cesarean deliveries and a spontaneous abortion. She presented to the emergency department of the Mohamed Boudiaf Maternal and Child Hospital with severe abdominal pain and amenorrhea. Ultrasound examination revealed a 7-week-old intrauterine gestational sac with cardiac activity and moderate hemoperitoneum. A heterotopic pregnancy was diagnosed, and a right salpingectomy was indicated. The patient had a favorable evolution.
