This code has as objective to maximize the benefits of open science for society; for it the magazine has established its responsibility to maintain high standard ethical related to the publication of manuscripts. In case these guidelines are violated or have some indication of this, the Editorial Committee will consult the behavior code and good practices of the Ethics Committee of Publications (COPE) and will act in correspondence.
The authors' duties (the author's ethics)
- They should assure that the data included in the investigation have been picked up in an ethical way and demonstrate that this has been approved by the institution.

- If the manuscript is approved according to modifications after the arbitration, the authors will send the new version in the term indicated by the editor. The limit for the delivery will be 3 months, starting from the date the evaluation is registered in the platform; if in that term the modified version is not received, the sending work is filed and rejected.

Tutorials
The Editorial Committee offers two tutorials of vital importance, the first of them for users without any experience in Open Journal Systems (OJS) and the second for the referees or reviewers of MEDISAN.
Plagiarism policy of the journal
Collaborations will be published previously in SciELO Preprints and PUBMED servers. It is requested to the authors that declare, through the letter of originality and rights cession, that they possess the creation rights on the manuscript and that has not been sent for revision neither it is published, partial or totally, in any other national or foreign magazine. The signatories will be responsible of guaranteeing that their contribution fulfills those requirements.
The editors will use as tool for the detection of coincidences in the text StrikePlagiarism (https://strikeplagiarism.com/es /), with which all works will be examined before passing to the revision by pairs. Also, they will check if the work is already published or if plagiarism exists of some of the indexed documents or others of the same topic.
Each report emitted by this tool will be evaluated for separate and if the similarity with other published texts is higher than 20% they will be informed by means of an electronic mail in which the document and the editor's recommendations will be included. In correspondence with the percentage and the quantity of similarities found in the manuscript, the Advisory Council will determine if plagiarism exists or not; for it, the answers offered by the author and the meticulous analysis carried out to the manuscript will be valued.
If a previous version of the manuscript has been published, this will be indicated expressly in the notes. The new version will have substantial innovations and its recovery should be motivated.
The Editorial Committee will reject the works that turn out to be plagiarisms and its authors won't be able to send manuscripts to the magazine during the period that is determined, in correspondence with the magnitude of the incident.

Politics on the use of artificial intelligence (IA)
The attribution of responsibility bears the responsibility for the work content, that cannot apply indeed the Models of Big Language (LLM, for its initials in English). In such a case, the ChatGPT, doesn't fulfill our approaches of responsibility.
The use of a LLM should be documented appropriately in the section of Methods (and if there is not an available section of Methods, in an appropriate alternative part) of the manuscript. In the case of the images obtained with some of the techniques of IA, they will also be documented appropriately in the section corresponding of the manuscript. The editorial committee will analyze each case in particular and it will determine its relevancy in order to avoid any type of ethical conflict. The built literature review references with models of LLM as ChatGPT, and that are not valid in their confirmation, will be rejected.
