Antonio Maceo Grajales's doctors in different periods of his life

The general lieutenant Antonio Maceo Grajales suffered from multiple injuries in the different wars, also it was object of an assassination atempt in Costa Rica and he suffered from other diseases. In this work, the doctors that took care of his health are pointed out in a historiographic way: Félix Figueredo Díaz, the first one that treated him in very special circumstances, when el Titan de Bronce received eight wounds in Mangos de Mejía combat; Eusebio Hernández Pérez, Maceo´s family doctor, with whom he sustained a strong friendship; Guillermo Fernández Mascaró who assisted him due to digestive disorders, and Hugo Roberts Fernández that took care of him during a longer time. Also, aspects related to Maximo Zertucha Ojeda, the last doctor that assisted him, and some interesting data on other physicians that also contributed to maintain his health are pointed out.
