Cutaneous Leishmaniasis in an aged adult

The case report of a 62 years patient with a history of hypertension who attended the emergency room of Socorro, Itamarandiba municipality from Minas Gerais state, Brazil, for presenting an unique round lesion in the face, with defined edges, ulcerated and painless necrotic tissue, is presented. These symptoms were in correspondence to a cutaneous leishmaniasis; therefore, it was decided to transferred him to the Municipal Hospital of Itamarandiba for admission, study and treatment.
