The scientific societies in function of science through the Annual Prize of Health.

Introduction: The Competition Yearly Health Rewards, constitutes the most important recognition that grants the Public Health Ministry every year to the professionals with outstanding results in the investigations linked to medical sciences, in correspondence with the objectives, priorities and challenges of the National Health System.
Objective: To analyze the work of Scientific Societies in Santiago de Cuba in the development of the Annual Prize of health in the period corresponding to the year 2023.
Methods: An observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out. The theoretical methods were used, as well as statistic descriptive inferencial methods, the works that competed for the Annual Prize of Health corresponding to 2023 that are evaluated in 2024 in all categories were taken.
Results: Among all categories 32 works were presented where 43.7 % corresponded to the University of Medical Sciences, also Oriente University was notable with 5 works (15.6 %) personified by 5 authors. The category of scientific article was the most represented in 28.1 % and the most winning. The result of the work was satisfactory with high grade of novelty in the investigations.Downloads
